Services: A prayer service will be held at 9:15 A.M. on Monday at Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers, with a funeral mass to follow at 10:00 A.M at the Infant Jesus Byzantine Catholic Church in Boardman.
Visitation: Friends may call on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers where a Parastas service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
Poland - Nick C. Yacovone, passed away Thursday evening March 4, 2010 after living a rewarding life. Nick was born on April 21, 1915, a son of the late Angelo and Mary Rich Yacovone.
Nick was a 1933 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and attended Ohio University, where he received an associate degree.
Together, with his father Nick founded and worked diligently at building the Campbell Electric Company. His numerous honors have included being named Knight of the Year by the Knights of Columbus and Man of the Year by the Byzantine Men's Association, while serving as a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Marian Council #3813. He was a member of the Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church in Boardman. He served as a council member for St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, as a Byzantine Youth Association advisor and as president of the Carovillesi Society of Campbell.
Nick's wife, Sophia Kimotek whom he married in June of 1941, passed away in November of 2000. He leaves three daughters; Jackie and Jim Bobby, Bonnie and Jeff Watts, and Denise and Perry Ventresco. Grandchildren, Jim and Ana Bobby, David and Kate Bobby, Kristine and Jeff Huff, Jeffrey and Barbara Watts, Kelly and Alesio Caruso and Ann Borowski. Nick's family includes thirteen great-grandchildren. He also leaves on step-sister, Lucille Moss Williman.
