New Middletown – A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday February 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown, for Joanna M. Luscre, 96 who passed away Wednesday afternoon February 14, 2024 at Mercy Health in Youngstown.
Joanna was born on December 14, 1927 in New Waterford, OH, a daughter of Sam and Mary Mercure Quaresimo.
She lived in the area her entire life and was a housewife homemaker and was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church, the Dogwood Garden Club and loved crafts, especially crocheting her award winning afghans.
Joanna married Natale M. Luscre July 11, 1953 and he passed away December 27, 2013.
She leaves two sons, Anthony A. (Linda) Luscre of Stow, OH and Joseph (Ethel) Luscre of Coventry Twp., OH; one daughter Joanna N. (Nick) Rizzo of Poland, OH; ten grandchildren Aaron Luscre, Erica Luscre, Michelle (Matt Morgan) Luscre, David (Laura) Luscre; Nicholas and Natalie Rizzo; Brannon Hammonds, Jennifer (David) Pluck, Michael (Rebecca) Mayfield and David Mayfield; seven great grandchildren Zoey and Holden Luscre, Arlo and Henry Pluck, Archer and Delilah Mayfield, Alexandria Morgan. Joanna lived for her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were the most important part of her life and she loved spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Sam Quaresimo, and sister Mary Elizabeth Quaresimo.
Friends may call on Sunday February 18, 2024 from2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown and on Monday February 19th at the church before the mass from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
