Lowellville – Private services were held for James L. Pugh, 74, who died peacefully at home on Saturday, April 16, 2022.
James was born on September 3, 1947 in Cleveland. He is preceded in death by his parents Bill Pugh and Anna Brown.
Upon graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School, he joined the US Army. He served for three years, including time overseas in the Vietnam War.
James leaves his wife, Margaret (Timkovich) of almost 50 years, his son James Joseph Pugh of Brookville, OH, his daughter Carolyn (Steve) Dougherty of Kalamazoo, MI, a granddaughter Claire Pugh, and his beloved dog, Harley. He also leaves his family and caregivers, sister-in-law Mary Ann Theisler and niece Diana Timkovich.
James was employed as a steel worker for over 40 years at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. and WCI Steel before he retired. He served as a volunteer fireman for Coitsville Township for over 20 years and was an avid NASCAR fan.
