Jack M. Semancik, Sr.

New Middletown – Services will be held Wednesday, May 16, at 7:00 pm at Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown, OH for Jack M. Semancik, Sr. who died Sunday at Shepherd of the Valley.

Jack was born August 8, 1930, in Struthers, OH, the son of John M. and Marie D. (Zetts) Semancik.  He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1949 to 1952 as a Staff Sergeant stationed at Pearl Harbor.  Jack married Eleanore Biroschak on February 12, 1955. He served as a rural carrier for the USPS delivering throughout Springfield Township for 29 years, until he retired. He was also a long time member of St. Paul the Apostle Church.

Jack leaves his wife Eleanore, son Joseph (Mary) Semancik of West Mifflin, PA, two brothers James (Barbara) Semancik of Mansfield, OH and David (Anita) Semancik of Perrysburg, OH, one sister Cristine (Albert) Smolko of Winston-Salem, NC, five grandchildren John Semancik, Amy Fike, Carolanne Semancik, Mark Semancik, and Paul Semancik, and one great grandchild Joseph Fike.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, son Jack M. Semancik, Jr., sister Rita Mackey, and three grandchildren Anna Marie, Kathryn and Jackelyn Semancik.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 6:45 pm at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown
