STRUTHERS - Services will be held Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers for Willis D. Nelson, 78, of Struthers, who passed away Sunday at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center. Willie was born in Whitmer, West Virginia, on November 23, 1935, a son of Roscoe and Myrtle White Nelson. He married Patricia Heltzel on January 30, 1957, and worked at Republic/ LTV Steel until he retired. He enjoyed going to flea markets, garage sales, gardening, and fixing cars.  Most of all, he liked to fix things and everyone knew that if it could be fixed, Willie could fix it. Willie leaves his wife, Patricia; two sons Jeff (Ann) Heltzel of Lowellville, John Nelson of Struthers; two daughters Sheree (Bob) Tarnaski of Struthers, Lisa Nelson of Struthers; a son-in-law Mike Markotan of Struthers; two brothers Larry Nelson of Elkins, West Virginia, and Douglas Nelson of Toledo, OH; and one sister Joy Lou Sites of Jane Lew, West Virginia; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Willie was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Amy Markotan; two brothers Keith and Monte Nelson; two sisters Twila Hinkle and Obelene Mullennex. Friends may call two hour prior to the service on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.
