Services: A memorial mass will be held at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. for William Harmicar.

Visitation: There will be no calling hours.

Poland - William Harmicar, 78, passed away Tuesday at the Hospice House in Poland. William was born Jan. 19, 1930 in Youngstown, a son of John and Catherine Muchway Harmicar, Sr. He was a retired welder and had worked at Youngstown Steel Tank for 30 years and Garland Welding for 20 years. He served in the Army from Jan. 29, 1947 to July 28, 1948. He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans. William leaves his wife Jacquelyn Segreti whom he married in 1964, one son, William (Amber) Harmicar, Jr. of Huntington Beach, Calif.; three daughters, Christine (James) Hoover of Boardman, Pamela (Robert) DeChicco of Westlake and Kimberlee (Tim) Haldiman of Petersburg three brothers, Edward Harmicar of Austintown, Frank (Carol) Harmicar of Poland and Robert Harmicar of Lakewood; two sisters, Kathryne Marmion of Detroit, Mich. and Louise (Al) Dominguez of Carson, Calif.; and seven grandchildren, Matthew DeChicco, Jon Haldiman, Ryan Wilson, Erika Hoover, Ethan Harmicar, Haley Harmicar and Lucas Harmicar. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Harmicar, two brothers, John, Jr. and Thomas Harmicar; and four sisters, Helen Walters, Victoria Bisso, Theresa Neary and Mary Harmicar. A special thanks is extended by the family to the staff of Hospice House for their compassion.
