North Lima - William H. "Whiskey Bill" Davis, 67, passed away at Hospice House of Poland on Monday afternoon.

William was born on Oct. 14, 1946, in Youngstown, a son of Harold W. and Anna M. Ellis Davis. He lived in California for 20 plus years and returned to the area in the mid 1990s.

He retired after working for many years.  William served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and was a life member of the VFW Post 2799 in New Springfield, known as the Triangle Post, and was a member of the American Legion.

William leaves his brother, Tom (Sophie) Davis of Austintown; and one sister , Barbara Moss Brown, who lives in New Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert E. Davis and Walter L."Smokey" Davis; and three sisters, Peggy Davis, Shirley Dunegan and Norma Gillivan.
