BOARDMAN - Willard (Bill) W. Pettitt, Jr., 71 of Boardman, passed away on Wednesday of natural causes after a short illness. Bill was born on May 22, 1940 in Akron, OH, a son of Willard W. Sr. and Ellen J. Hicks Pettitt. He graduated from North High School in 1958 and came to this area in 1979. He worked for many years for the Market Inventory Service. In the 1960's he was a semi-professional stock car driver. He was an avid fisherman and a Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson. Bill leaves two sons, Andrew A. (Angela) Pettitt of Youngstown, OH and Matthew S. (Jocelyn) Pettitt of Mentor, OH; two brothers Dale (Rose) Pettitt of Tallmadge, OH, Craig (Angela) Pettitt of Temecula, CA; one sister Anita (Patty) Magee Pettitt of Rehoboth, DE and one grandson Nicholas Pettitt. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
