Struthers – Services will be on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 12:00 noon at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers for Vernon T. Scott, Jr., 79, who passed away on Friday, at his residence after a long illness in the presence of his family. Vernon was born May 27, 1937 in Canfield, Ohio, a son of Vernon T., Sr. and Isabelle R. Davis Scott. He was a life long area resident and worked in sales for Sheely's Furniture Store for 20 years. He was a founding member of the New Life Assembly of God Church in Poland. Vernon married Carol Ann Prontka on May 20, 1961 and she passed away February 15, 2001. He leaves his sons, Vernon T. (Maggie) Scott, III, Dwayne, Shawn, Jason and one daughter Ellissa (Rob Greenaway) Scott; one step-sister Lucille Ann Mullins; also 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son Christopher Scott; one daughter Vanessa Scott; one brother Ernest Scott; and one sister, Anna Paine. Friends may call 2 hours before the service at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
