New Springfield – Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown for Treca E. Smith, 99, who passed away on Tuesday afternoon Jan. 17, 2017.

Treca was born July 18, 1917 in Fayette City, PA, a daughter of John and Terecia Blasco Diabelko.

She came to this area many years ago and sold Avon for 70 plus years. She was a devout

Christian.

Treca married Theodore R. Smith in 1931 and he passed away in 1975.

She leaves three grandchildren, Daniel (Jean) Smith, Lauri Moss and Ted Smith, Jr.; six great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.

For the last two years, she made her home with Joann Riel, Pam Roza, Dan Shoemaker and Brayden Berry. Treca leaves her dogs Biscuit and Trooper.

Treca was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Theodore R. Smith; two sisters, Amelia Eardly and Maryann Smerezniak, and one granddaughter Cheri Stepan.

Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home before the service from 11:00 am to 12:30 p.m.
