Services: Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg, OH with Rev. Aimee Raymond officiating.
Visitation: Friends may call today, Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m at the St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg and on Friday at the church, one hour before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
PETERSBURG-Thomas Raymond Koch, 62, of Petersburg, passed away on April 10, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic after a short illness. Thomas was born in Youngstown, OH on January 30, 1950, a son of C.Raymond and Vivian Wietelmann Koch. He was a 1968 graduate of Springfield High School and hosted many class reunions at his home. He owned and operated Koch Farms his entire life. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, where he was president and where he attended faithfully his entire life. He was past-president of the Mahoning County Farm Bureau and was treasurer of the Mahoning County Livestck Committee (Canfield Fair). Tom loved to volunteer in his community and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was also a member of the Springfield Athletic Boosters, 300 Club and the Springfield Township Rurtian. Besides his parents of Petersburg, Tom leaves his wife, the former Kimberly Welsh Koch, whom he married on February 14, 1987. He leaves two sons, Thomas (Tamara) Koch of Boomer, NC and Larry (Kristin) Haag of Walled Lake, MI: one daughter, Jill Koch of Madison, WI; two brothers, Philip (Patty) Koch of New Middletown, OH and Robert Koch of Alliance, OH; two sisters, Carol (Samuel) McKinny of Salem, OH and Beth (Thomas) Bean of Boardman, OH. He also leaves two grandchildren, Taylor and Thomas Koch and 34 nieces and nephews.
