Poland – Private services were held Tuesday, March 11th for Thomas DeVecchio a resident of Poland, who passed away at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center on Friday, March 7, 2014. Thomas was born March 29, 1930, in Struthers a son of Carmen and Julia Deltondo DeVecchio. He married Roseann Anzevino in August of 1952. Thomas worked at Republic Steel and then became the Assistant Vice President of Pasco Builders and spent time overseeing building projects in Israel.  He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown and was also a member of the Elks and the Rotary.  He served as a Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force during Korea. Tom enjoyed spending his afternoons on the golf course or tending his vegetable garden every day during the summer. He was a devoted husband, a loving dad, grandfather and great grandfather to all his children. Thomas leaves his wife, Roseann; three sons Tom DeVecchio of Poland, Robert (Kathy) DeVecchio of Oviedo, FL, and Ron (Sandy) DeVecchio of VanWert, OH; five grandchildren Gina, Jennifer, Robert, Nicholas and Lindsay, and three great grandchildren Sophie, Michael and Hayden. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Joe, Jack and Charles. Arrangements were handled by Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.
