Poland – A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers and a Mass of Christian will be held 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Poland for Sue Ann Niro  77, who passed away on Tuesday morning October 22, 2024 at the Poland Village Assisted Living after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Sue Ann was born March 31, 1947 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Nicholas and Antoinette Martucci  Carfolo.

She lived in the area her whole life and graduated from Chaney High School in 1965. She retired from the Trust Department at Huntington Bank as an administrator. She also served as a literacy tutor volunteer at McKinley Elementary in the Poland School District. Her hobbies were baking, cooking and traveling. Her greatest joy in life was cooking for holiday and family dinners and spending time with her grandchildren.

Sue Ann married Michael Niro on January 29, 1966.

Besides her husband she leaves two daughters Maria A. ( Steven) Hoffmaster of Poland, OH and Dolores (Mark) Beith of Boardman, OH; one sister Diane (Sharon Petrella) Carfolo;  also four grandchildren Kayla and Isabella Hoffmaster and Jessica and Jacob Beith.

Sue Ann was preceded in death by her parents

Friends may call two hours before the prayer service at the funeral home on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
