Services: Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Parish/Holy Trinity Church in Struthers.

Visitation: Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.

POLAND - Stephen J. Markovich, 85, of Poland, who died Tuesday at North Side Medical Center. Stephen was born January 15, 1927, in Youngstown, a son of Michael and Barbara Markovich. He served in the Army during World War II, from November 16, 1945 thru March 15, 1947. Stephen married Mary Tusin on September 5, 1944 and worked as a master plumber, the profession from which he then retired. He was a member of St. Nicholas Church/Christ Our Savior Parish. Stephen leaves his wife Mary, a son Stephen, Jr. (Marcia) Markovich of Struthers; a daughter Patricia Dempsey of Poland; one sister Dorothy Tusin of Poland; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, a daugher Virginia Barber, four brother Michael, Joseph, William and John and three sisters, Mary Barbara and Frances.
