Youngstown - Steve born on July 23, 1939, a son of Michael and Anna Kukura Stahara. He was a highly regarded local musician, songwriter, poet and political activist. Steve was best known for managing the legendary Youngstown Agora, Tomorrow Club and New Music Station. As a concert promoter, Steve brought many of today's biggest rock bands into the historic Youngstown venue, making it a must stop for touring acts before they went on to stardom. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, KISS, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, and Heart are just a few of the acts that Steve worked closely with at the beginning of their careers. Steve is survived by his only granddaughter Kylie Thomas, along with his daughter Shannon Stahara-Thomas and son-in-law Mark Thomas of Youngstown. Steve also leaves behind his niece Andrea Elder, his nephew Paul Stahara of Lexington, KY and his brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Mary Stahara of Pine Bluff,AR. Steve was preceded in death by his mother Anna (Kukura) and father Michael.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers Steve requested that donations be made to a college fund set up for Kylie Thomas at the Chase Bank at 30 N. Main St Poland, OH 44514.
