New Springfield, Ohio Stanley Rutana, 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the Caprice Health Care Center in North Lima. Stanley was born on Jan. 10, 1918 in Youngstown, Ohio to Walter and Mary Przepiora Rutana. He was a professional driver for CCC Highway for 44 years, and was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown. Stanley served as a Sergeant with the U.S. Army,1st Battalion, 393rd infantry, 99th division from 1942-1945. He received 3 Bronze Stars for his valor at the Battle of the Bulge during World WarII. Stanley leaves his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Lang, whom he married on July 20, 1946, three daughters Joan Rutana of Rockford, IL., Sandra (Joseph) Wolanzyk of Berlin Center, Oh., and Donna Rutana of Chicago, IL. He also leaves one brother John Rutana and three sisters, Julia Sakoman, Lottie Kurjan and Eleanor Spicko. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Chester and Theodore Rutana
