New Middletown – Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 12:00 noon at Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown for Shirley A. Richardson, 82, who passed away Sunday.
Shirley was born January 18, 1933, in Youngstown, a daughter of Edward W. and Jenny Sandburg Ludt.
She married Henry Richardson in the early 1950's.
Shirley was co-owner of Richardson French Fries and owner and operator of Shirley's Steak and Sausage concessions and still continued working until the time of her passing. She was a very creative person and enjoyed making jewelry and flower arranging, even owning her own florist business at one time.
Shirley leaves three sons, John (Joyce) Richardson of New Middletown, George Richardson of Boardman, Jack (Debbie) Richardson of New Springfield; one daughter Sherri L. (Robert) Eckman of New Middletown; one brother Walter Ludt of Pearl, Miss.; one sister, Doris Watson of Columbiana ; ten grandchildren, Rick Mullen, Julie Lewis, Shelly Pelles, John Richardson, Carrie Catheline, Kimberly Wisbith, Jessica Delvaux, Jen Lawson, Geroge Richardson, and Victoria Wine, and twenty-one great- grandchildren; and a long-time and dedicated friend Robert Maney.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, who died on May 31, 1986.
Friends may call on Thursday at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, two hours prior to the service.
