New Middletown – Shirley K. Lewis, 72, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Mercy Health Boardman Campus.

Shirley was born on July 16, 1951 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of George H. and Rose Pribanic Clow.

She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Springfield High School in 1970 and was a barmaid at PJ's  Lounge . She was an auxiliary member of the VFW Post 2799 "Triangle Post" in New Springfield. She enjoyed going to garage sales, rooting for the Browns and making people happy. She also liked writing poetry and short children's stories, some of which have been published.

Shirley was married to Lenard Lewis and he passed away in 1978.

She leaves two sons Lenard Lewis and Jason (Megan) Lewis both of New Middletown; three brothers Ron Clow of Palmer, Alaska, Tom (Cheri)  Clow of Thornville, Ohio and Robert (Dorothy)  Clow, of Florence, KY; three sisters Sandy Hixson and Susan (Kermit) Lewis  both of New Middletown, and Sharon (Tim) Pink of East Palestine, OH and also four grandchildren Leonard, Sierra,  Chyenne, and Kitana.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers David, George, Dale, and Gary Clow.

Friends may call on Friday January 26, 2024 at the Clemente Funeral Home 10170 Main Street in New Middletown 44442  from 4:00  p.m.to 6:00 p.m.
