New Middletown – We are grieving the loss of Sheryl A. Malenic who passed away on March 22, 2024.

Sheryl, the daughter of Richard and Margaret Jones Fraley, was born on April 21, 1960 in Youngstown, OH.

She married Mark A. Malenic on February 18, 1984, and he preceded her in death in 2013.

Sheryl was a loving daughter, wife, and mother. She worked as an office manager and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and a local garden club. She was a dedicated and involved mom of two sons, Mark A. Malenic and Joshua R. Malenic, both of New Middletown; and one daughter, Melissa Tremont of Texas City, TX. She was always seen cheering her kids on at every sporting event, even serving as the coach for her daughter's softball team. She leaves behind her children, her mother Margaret Jones Fraley of New Middletown, and brother Seth (Tina) Fraley of Cleveland, OH. Her beloved dogs Buck and Lucy will also miss her devoted care.

Sheryl is preceded in death by her father Richard Fraley, her husband Mark, and two brothers – Steven Fraley and Scott Fraley.

Friends may call at Zion Lutheran Church in New Middletown from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements will be handled by the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown.
