NEW MIDDLETOWN - Roy A. Avila, 53, of New Middletown passed away Sunday morning at Hospice House in Poland. Roy was born on April 10, 1957 in Youngstown, OH, a son of Rosendo and Rose Ramos Avila. He lived in the area his entire life and worked for 30 years as a heavy equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Local #66, with his last day of work ending on December 7, 2009. Roy married Susan R. on December 23, 1992. Besides his wife of New Middletown, he leaves three sons, Roy Anthony Avila of South Dakota, Nicholas Avila of Massachusetts and Steven Avila of California; one brother, David Avila of Indiana and two sisters; Lydia Grope of Boardman, OH and Melinda Avila of Austintown, OH and one grandchild Lucia Rose.
