Middletown – Services will be on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Parish/St. Nicholas Church, both in Struthers, for Roslyn A. Bendel, 55, who passed away on Wednesday morning at her residence following a strong battle with cancer. She was born December 4, 1960 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Samuel and Ann Polis Johngrass. Roslyn was a lifelong area resident, moving to Middletown five years ago.  She was of the Catholic faith, a 1979 graduate of Struthers High School and attended Youngstown State University. She received her realtor's certificate in 1993 and worked as a realtor for a short time. She worked at Pat Catan's for several years. Roslyn enjoyed crafts, cooking, and she loved animals. Roslyn married her first husband Gregory B. Smith on August 10, 1985 and he passed away March 12, 1997. She married Christopher A. Bendel February 14, 2007. Besides her husband Christopher, she leaves two daughters Michelle A. Smith of Youngstown and Valerie L. Smith of Los Angeles, CA; two brothers Eugene E. (Diana) Johngrass  of Las Vegas, NV, Richard (Jacci) Johngrass of Merritt Island, FL; two sisters, Mary Ann Colaneri of Struthers, Jackie (Dominic) DeLaurentis of Boardman. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Gregory; one daughter Gina Smith and one brother Donald Johngrass. Friends may call on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
