Poland – Private services were held Friday at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers for Roseann D. DeVecchio, who passed away Tuesday morning at Hospice House.
Roseann was born May 30, 1930, in Youngstown and she graduated from Rayen High School and was on the honor roll for four years. She married Thomas M. DeVecchio on August 23, 1952. She raised three sons and then went to work in Kentucky at a drugstore, was later a head cashier at Derry Drugs in Van Wirt, Ohio. She then moved to Columbus, GA, and worked in an office managing insurance claims. When Roseann returned to the area she was the office manager at All State Insurance.
She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown and a member of the Italian Mother's Club and served as its past president. She served on the liturgical committee at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.
Roseann leaves three sons Thomas of Poland, Robert (Kathy) of Oveido, FL, and Ron (Sandy) of VanWirt, OH, five grandchildren Gina, Jennifer, Robert, Nicholas, and Lindsay, and three great grandchildren Sophie, Michael, and Hayden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, who passed away March 7, 2014, and one sister Amy Burnett.
