Obituary

New Middletown– A prayer service will be  held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at  Christ Our Savior Parish/St. Nicholas Church, both in Struthers, for Rose DelSignore 87,  formerly of Struthers, who passed away on Thursday at St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus. Rose was born on October 10, 1928 in Fonte d'Amore, Sulmona, Italy, to Nicola (Nick)  and Anna (Ginnetti) Centofanti. She came to the United States in 1930, and   lived in Lowellville and then moved to Struthers with her family in 1938. In 1948, Rose graduated from Struthers High School (after planning her wedding to Vince while in study hall). They married on June 19, 1948. Rose was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking especially for the holidays. At supper time she made more than enough in case her children's friends stayed for dinner. She was also an avid reader who enjoyed romance novels. Rose raised her six children, helped with the care of her mother, and took care of her husband until his passing in 2003. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Anna Manning, New Middletown; Janet DelSignore, Struthers;  JoAnn (Ed) Neiheisel, Canfield; Ralph (Tiffany) DelSignore, Lowellville; RoseMarie DelSignore, Columbus;  Nicholas (Lori) DelSignore, Lowellville; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Leo) Cappabianca, Alexa Manning,Vince, Nick, and Natalie DelSignore; her sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Liborio Ricottillil; sister-in-law,  Antoinette Leombruno: sister-in-law, Margaret Grasso; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish/St. Nicholas Church, St. Anthony's Women's Auxiliary and Bowling, and Sulmona Valley Women's Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband Vince; parents; brother Eugene Centofanti; and infant grandson, Benjamin Montgomery. The family would like to thank Karen Thompson for the excellent care and friendship while Rose was at home, and the staff of Masternick Memorial in New Middletown in for the wonderful care they have given Rose in the past four years. Friends may call on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers. Rose's family requests any monetary donations be given to The American Diabetes Association, 1900 W. Station Square #1900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
