YOUNGSTOWN-Mr. Robert Rogers, affectionately known to all as (Peter), departed this life Saturday August 25, 2012 surrounded by family. Mr. Rogers was born February 21, 1941 in Greenville, South Carolina. Mr. Rogers and family relocated to Youngstown, OH as a child, where he made his home. He was a kind, loving father and friend. Mr. Rogers leaves to forever cherish his memory, his most dearest friend, and mother of his children, Mary Rogers of Youngstown; three children all of Youngstown; one son Demetrus Rogers; two daughters Veronica Owens, Yvette (Robert) Prater; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters Fannie Martin, Charolette Gibbs and one brother Eugene (Victoria) Rogers and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Rogers retired from US Steel and enjoyed spending his spare time with family and friends and collecting antiques. He was departed in life by his mother and father, James and Ella Mae Rogers; three brothers, two sisters and a grandson Robert Lee Rogers II, whom he reared.
