New Springfield – A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown for Robert  (Bob) E. Beil, Sr., 88, who died January 24, 2025, at Hospice House in Poland.

Robert was born on July 24, 1936 in Youngstown, OH, a son of William J. and Loretta G. Beil.

He was a commercial electrician and a longtime member of IBEW Local 64, retiring in 2000. He was one of the founding members of Boy Scout Troop 119 in New  Springfield and a lifelong supporter. He thoroughly enjoyed his time and numerous campouts with the scouts. He was a member of the St. Paul's  Catholic  Church and a proud member of the "dough boys", helping to make pierogi's.  He was married 65 years to his late wife Susan A. Beil.  He loved to drive Susan to Lake Erie, Beaver Creek State Park, on trips to Hartville and also to Holmes County and Amish country.

Robert leaves his five sons, Robert (Christi) Beil of Seaford, VA., Mark Beil of Boardman, Christopher (Karen) Beil of New Springfield, Matthew (Christy) of New Middletown and David (Roxanne) Beil of Montclair, Va., one daughter Susan Charney of Warrenton, VA., one brother Jerry; 17 grandchildren, which includes two sets of twins and 19 great grandchildren, with two more expected in May.

He was preceded in death by his wife Susan, his brothers William and James, a son-in-law, Andrew  Charney and a great granddaughter Delaney Carter.

Friends may call on Tuesday January 28, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home 10170 Main Street, New Middletown, OH 44442. And one hour before the prayer service on Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Robert's memory to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514, or Boy Scout Troop 119, 13885 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, Petersburgh, OH 44454.
