Struthers – Services will be Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers for Rita M. Sakara, who passed away at home and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday September 18, 2016. Rita was born on November 22, 1937 in Struthers, a daughter of Alessandro and Lena Moscariello Clemente. She lived in the area her whole life and worked many years as a caregiver for the elderly. She worked for Comfort Keepers and recently for Community Caregivers. For a short time she volunteered at Hospice of the Valley. Rita was very involved with the Jabez Women's Fellowship, a Mentor for engaged couples and was on the Struthers Class of 1956 Reunion Committee. She was also a member of the One Spirit Family Christian Church in Boardman. Rita loved her family, church families at Church of the Rock and the One Spirit Family Christian Church. She especially loved her grandchildren. Rita married Pierre "Tony" Sakara on November 22, 1968. She leaves two sons, George Datino of Florida, Carl Datino of Connecticut; two daughters, Janene (Phillip) Latta of Oklahoma City, Nicole Sakara of Struthers; four grandchildren Angela (Phil) Hallman of Raleigh, NC, Andrea Datino of Warren, Oh, Heaven Leigh Datino of Connecticut and Caleb A. Sakara who lived with his mom and grandparents in Struthers and two great grandchildren, Marquessan and Gianna and two grand puppies, Lulu and Snickers. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Phyliss Clemente and her very special brother Tony Clemente and her daughter Lisa Marie Sakara. Friends may call on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers and one hour before the service at the funeral home  on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
