Struthers - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers for Richard A. Silvers, 93 who passed away at home Monday morning, April 28, 2025.

Richard was born on May 26, 1931, in Youngstown, OH, a son of Joseph Silvers and Bernice M. Vasko Silvers.

He lived in the area his whole life and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and was stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish/St. Nicholas Church and enjoyed gardening and playing chess.

Richard married the former Clara M. Johnson on October 2, 1965.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Bradley Silvers of Austintown, OH and Brian (Jayanne) Silvers of New Castle, PA. and two grandchildren Andrew and Gianna Silvers.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joseph Silvers, and one sister, Jean M. Check.

Friends may call on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at the Clemente Funeral Home before the service from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
