Struthers – Richard A. Lakin  77, passed away peacefully on Friday morning November 15, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Richard was born on July 29. 1947  in Youngstown, Ohio a son of Kenneth C.  Frances M. Brown Lakin.

Richard was a veteran and joined the Air Force when he was nineteen and served in Viet Nam as an air traffic controller. He was a hard worker, and he would do anything for anyone at any time. Richard had his own company in Cleveland, OH and then worked at King Collision until he retired this year. He was an avid motorcycle rider, and loved to work on motorcycles and four wheelers. He did charity and bike runs to benefit the families of deceased riders. He loved all animals especially his cat "Ozzy". We called him the "animal whisperer".

Richard will be sadly missed by his two sons, Robert S. (Melanie) Lakin and Kenneth C. (Kaye) Lakin and grandson Ian Lakin all of Texas; two sisters Suelyn Lakin Woods of Struthers and Bonnie Lakin  (William) Britton of Canfield, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may gather to celebrate Richard's life at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers on Saturday December 7, 2024 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
