Services: Services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.
Visitation: Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service, at the Clemente funeral home.
STRUTHERS - Rex L. Folkwein, 84, passed away Tuesday morning at Hospice House in Poland. Rex was born June 15, 1927 in Struthers, a son of Edward and Madge Lovett Folkwein. He married Dorothy Kaiser on June 5, 1957 and served in both the Army and the Navy during World War II and Korea and attended Boardman Baptist Church. Rex loved magic and sharing this talent with others. He enjoyed camping and playing games. He was a Number 1 husband and a wonderful man, who will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Rex leaves his wife Dorothy; two sons, Randy (Katherine) Folkwein of Attleboro, Mass, Greg (Darla) Folkwein of Amherst; one daughter, Brenda Jean (Patrick) DiBacco of Loraine; seven grandchildren, John Folkwein, Karen LaRue, Matthew Folkwein, Ben Folkwein, Chad DiBacco, Shawn DiBacco and Rachel DiBacco and four great-grandchildren, Makayla, Kaylee, Valera and Mercy. Rex was preceded in death by his parents; a son John, who died in 1984; two brothers, Edward and Harold and one sister Delores.
Memorials: Family requests that in lieu of flowers, material tributes be made in Rex's name to Hospice House 9803 Sharrott Road Poland, Ohio 44514
