Boardman- Raymond Hutter, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2012, with his wife at his side. He was born July 7, 1926 in Washington, PA, a son of John and Mary Woods Hutter. Mr. Hutter served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe and participated in operations during the Battle of the Bulge. He had worked at Washington and Jefferson College for many years, until his reitrement. After retirement, he spent a lot of his time caring for is grandchildren and others. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was rarely seen without his Steelers baseball cap. He married Josephine Bacque November 16, 1960. Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother, Ed Hutter (Ethel) of Washington, PA; one sister, Betty Kisner of Elyria, OH; seven children, Gene Hutter (Dee) of Lyle, TN, Mary Pastella (Ron) of New Middletown, OH, Terry Shingleton (Glen) of Jupiter, FL, John Hutter (Jeannie) of Boardman, OH, Raymond Hutter, Jr. of Chilicothe, OH, and two stepsons, Roland Bennett (Sue) of Washington, PA, Mike Bennett (Sherry) of Washington, PA. He also leaves his grandchildren, Valeea Pastella, Nicholas Pastella, Jr., Anthony Pastella, Alisa Hutter, Kayle Hutter, and ten other grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hutter was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, William, James, Robert, Wilbert, Joe, Charles, Henry; sisters, Margaret Macella and Alberta, all of Washington, Pa and a granddaughter, Amanda Bennett of Washigton, PA. The family of Mr. Hutter wishes to thank the staff at Greenbriar Healthcare Center in Boardman for the loving care provided to Raymond.
