New Middletown – Randal J. Rice 75  passed away at Select Specialty Hospital on Wednesday evening November 6, 2024.

Randal was born on November 2, 1949 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Alvin H. and Helen D. Lang Rice.

He lived in the area his whole life and graduated in 1968 from Springfield High School. He was an Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.  He worked at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube and retired from WCI Steel in 2006, working in the carpentry shop. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Randal married the former Jan H. Denmeade on December 27, 1969.

Besides his wife he leaves three daughters, Ami R. Rice, Keri S. (Steve) Sexton and Barbi J. (Doug) Spencer all of New Middletown, OH; one brother Richard (Shirley) Rice of Salem, OH and one sister Renee Rice; six grandchildren Siera Rice, Cole Sexton, Kyle Sexton, Noah Stanislaw, Miley and Zach Spencer; two great grandchildren Grayson Rice and Ellie Pagan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Roger Rice.

Friends may call on Sunday November 10, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown, OH.

There will be no services.
