YOUNGSTOWN-Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers for Ralph H. Lewis, 88, of Youngstown who passed away on Saturday afternoon at the Hospice House.
Ralph was born on August 31, 1925 in Hartstown, PA, a son of James S. and Maude Carkhuff Lewis.
He lived in the area most of his life and served in the Navy during WWII in the Amphibious Corp. He retired from the Hearn Paper Company after working many years.
Ralph was an avid sports fan and liked the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Football. He also liked watching NASCAR and playing golf. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife the former Lorene J. Sprinkle whom he married on June 14, 1952 and they just celebrated 62 years of marriage.
He leaves two daughters, Beverley J. Lewis of Boardman, OH and Dawna L. (Doug Gue) Lewis of Poland, Oh; also, two grandchildren, Katie M. Gue and Tracy Reinard. He leaves his brother-in-law Bill Holleran of Phoenix, Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Esther Holleran.
