POLAND - Phyllis B. Diehm, 85, of Poland, OH passed away on Thursday evening at Fosnights of Valencia Personal Care Home in Pennsylvania. Phyllis was born on June 2, 1924 in Altoona, PA, a daughter of Percy W. and Mary E. Heimel Bair and came to this area in 1947. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Juniata College in Huntington, PA. Phyllis worked for the Poland School District, as a supervisor, in the cafeteria for 9 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Highland in Pittsburgh, PA. Phyllis leaves behind her husband William H. Diehm, whom she married on June 7, 1945; one son, Rev. William B. (Sue) Diehm of Allison Park, PA; two daughters, Linda (Michael) Zaugg of Seattle, WA and Sally Diehm of Eugene, Oregon; one brother, Dr. Robert K. (Ann) Bair of Castleton, NY and one sister, Miriam B. (Walter) Keeney of Lancaster, PA. She also leaves eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Merle W. Bair.
