Boardman – A  Memorial  service will be  held on Monday August 5, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers, for Phillip J. Mazzocco who passed away peacefully with family and friends by his side on July 30, 2024 at Mercy  Health St. Elizabeth Boardman.

Phil was born December 5, 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio to Tony and Sally (Marr) Mazzocco. He grew up in Struthers, graduating from Struthers High School in 1957. He spent the majority of his career working for the DeBartolo Corporation, and later went on to work at Levy Gardens in Youngstown. He served in the National Guard.

Phil was a caring man who dearly loved his family and many friends across his life. He appreciated travel, whether summer visits to Rehoboth Beach , DE, or trips to California, Estonia, and Ireland. Most beloved were his trips to Italy, where he visited the village of his father's birth. He had a deep appreciation for people and culture, most often enjoyed through cuisine. In return, he loved to cook and share food as his way of showing affection.

Phil is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marguerite (Evans) Mazzocco, his brother Anthony (Struthers), his son Phil and daughter-in-law Amy (Leesburg, VA), grandchildren Bryn and Drew and granddog Rocco, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the physicians and nurses who cared for him at Mercy Health Boardman and Fresenius Kidney Care.

Friends may call on Monday at the funeral home two hours before the memorial service from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations be made in Phil's name to the Animal Charity of Ohio in Boardman.
