Services: A prayer service will be held by the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #2799 at 7:45 P.M. Thursday at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown.

Visitation: Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown.

New Middletown - Pearl E. Knight, 88, passed away Tuesday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus. Pearl was born on July 3, 1920, a daughter of Oliver and Blanche Brown. She was a life long area resident and was a 1940 graduate of Springfield Local High School. She worked in the Springfield Local School system in the grade school and high school as a janitor and cook's helper for 10 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #2799 in New Springfield, also known as the Triangle Post. Pearl married William Knight on January 12, 1942 and he passed away on January 14, 1976. She leaves behing two sons, William L. (Arlene) Knight of Poland, Oh. and Jack L. Knight of Beth Page, Tenn; one daughter Leona E. Harper of New Springfield, Oh.; one sister Alice Hall of Sebring, Oh. and eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers Frank, Fred, Oliver and Bill Brown and one grandchild Cody Knight.
