Poland – A Mass of Christian burial was held last week for Pauline C. Jurich, age 88, who passed away Tuesday, evening, November 27, at O'Neill Healthcare in Lakewood , OH . She was born to the late Mato Balasko and Rose (Rozman) Balasko on September 9, 1930 in New Springfield, Ohio.

On November 3, 1956, Pauline married her beloved husband John Jurich who died on August 28, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers Joseph and Paul Balasko, and three sisters Caroline Matock, Anna White and Mary Ferko. Pauline leaves her daughter Catherine ( Adrian ) Higgins of Lakewood , OH by whom she will be sadly missed.

A wonderful homemaker and loving mother, Pauline enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and especially loved tending to her roses. She had many gifts including a beautiful singing voice and artistic talent to paint and draw.

Pauline possessed a strong faith and was a lifelong member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown.

Pauline requested a private burial and funeral.
