Struthers – A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 10:00 am at Christ Our Savior/ St. Nicholas Church in Struthers for Patricia Dobrindt Waller who died Saturday at her residence.
Pat was born November 7, 1928, in Youngstown a daughter of John and Edith McClay Dobrindt. She graduated from Chaney High School in 1946. While still in high school, she worked as a tray girl at South Side Hospital. After graduation, she worked in the records department at St. Elizabeth Hospital, retiring as a supervisor after 23 years.
On November 9, 1946, she married Gerald Waller who died in November 1992. They had one daughter, Diane Elenz who predeceased her mother. Pat had two brothers Eugene and John Dobrindt and a sister Darlene Havrila. Pat leaves a son-in-law Michael Elenz, Sr., four grandchildren Mike, Jerry, Jimmy and Patti Serrano and nine great grandchildren. Her dear friend Edward Slifka predeceased her.
Pat was an avid bowler and played golf and bingo. She was a member of the Struthers K of C as well as a volunteer at the St. Vincent DePaul Society. She was active in her church, Christ Our Savior/ St. Nicholas where she was an usher and member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She will be buried at St. John Cemetery in Campbell.
Friends may call one hour prior to the Mass from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Thursday at Christ OurSavior/ St Nicholas Church in Struthers.
