Services: Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.

Visitation: Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.

Struthers-Okie C. Watson, 79, passed away Tuesday morning at the Hospice House. Okie was born on Jan. 15, 1929 in Industry, Pa., a son of Okie N. and Agnes Gettiger Watson. He lived in the area most of his life, but spent 20 years living in Florida. He worked at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company as a craneman and service car driver for many years and retired in 1978. He was a member of the Faith Community Church in Youngstown. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post #3538 in Struthers and the Youngstown Eagles Club #213. Okie married the former Catherine M. Walters on Oct. 10, 1953, and she passed away May 29, 2005. He leaves behind two sons, John C. (Luann) Watson and Jeffrey J. Watson, both of Struthers; one daughter, Chrisdell (Don) Karis of Struthers; three sisters, Gloria Grigsby and Evelyn Grigsby, both of Charleston, W. Va., and Rosalie Bryant of Poland; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Okie was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
