Services: Services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Clemente Funerl Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Church, both in Struthers.

Visitation: Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Struthers - Nick M. Amendola, 72, of Struthers, passed away on his birthday March 4, at the Hospice House in Poland. Nick was born in Struthers,on March 4, 1937, a son of Larry and Mary Retort Amendola and remained a lifelong resident. He was a meat manager at various grocery stores in the area for 28 years and later was a sales representative for Stadium Lincoln Mercury. Nick was a member of the Youngstown Men's Bowling Association, serving as its director for 10 years. He was an avid bowler since the age of 13 and achieved a perfect 300 game and an 800 set during his career. Nick also loved spending as much time as he could on area golf courses. He was a member of St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, the Struther Knights of Columbus #4224, whose members will attend. Nick also had a passion for dance. It was through his dancing that he met his wife, JoAnn (Subotic) 50 years ago at the Avon Oaks. They were married Nov. 3, 1956. JoAnn preceded him in death on Dec. 3, 2007. Nick leaves his son, Nick (Michelle) Amendola of Lowellville; a daughter, Deborah Stricklin and her fiancee Ken Walcott of Boardman; a brother, Larry (Debbie) Amendola of Boardman; a sister, Angie (Pat) Fecko of New Middletown; two granddaughters, Rachel Stricklin and Gia Amendola; and one grandson, Mauro Amendola
