Youngstown – Nancy Jo Wilkos, 78, passed away on August 14, 2024 at her home in Youngstown, Ohio. She was born January 22, 1946 to Marjorie Jeffries-Morrison and Joseph Morrison of Youngstown.
After graduating in 1964 from Struthers High School, she married her beloved husband, Joe Wilkos on June 27, 1964, marking the beginning of a life filed with love and devotion. They had four children, Daniel (Diane) Wilkos of Struthers, David Wilkos (Kristy) of Struthers, the late Stephen Wilkos and Pamela (James) McCurdy of Poland who will always remember her strength, loving soul and contagious laugh,
Her world revolved around her seven grandchildren, Kristi (John) Martinez, Kyle, Todd, Travis, and Dana Wilkos, Mason and Teagan McCurdy who will carry on her extreme love of family and the importance of being together. She also had the joy of five great grandchildren, Cruz, Ace, Ellie, Tatum, and Charlie.
Nancy's journey began with her sisters and best friends, the late Linda (John) Howard of Youngstown and Janie (Jerry) Gettan of Berlin Center. In addition to her sisters were her sister- in-laws Barb (Lyle) Vance of Utah, the late Joan (Bob) Zorn of Poland and many nieces and nephews,
Nancy was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish/St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, The Catholic Daughters of America and the MS Society.
She loved to travel, watch the Green Bay Packers and was always up for a fun time with family and friends,
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live eternally in the hearts of those she left behind.
A private service was held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers, Ohio. Deacon John Terranova performed the service and many family members shared beautiful memories of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents Marjorie and Joe, her sister Linda, her son Stephen, her brother in laws John and Lyle, and her sister in law Joan.
