A  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday December 17, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at  St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown for Miriam Hoffman, 37, who passed away on Wednesday morning at  Salem Regional Hospital, Miriam was born on Sept 12, 1979 in Uruapan, Mexico a daughter of Carlos Elvira Vega and Raquel Del Rio Barragan. She completed her college education in Mexico before moving to the United States. She came to Ohio after meeting her husband in North Carolina and she was proud to become a United States citizen in 2015.  She worked as a librarian. Miriam married Greg L. Hoffman on Oct 8, 2005. She enjoyed cooking and watching movies. She also liked drag racing. Miriam is survived by both her parents in Uruapan, Mexico; her husband Greg of Salem; one brother Carlos Elvira Del Rio of Raleigh, NC; one sister Monica Gorgei of North Lima, OH, and her aunt Lilia Del Rio of Uruapan, Mexico.
