Mary Vitko, 85, passed away Thursday july 22, 2010 at The Covington in East Palestine. Mary was born on May 20, 1025 in Youngstown, OH a daughter of Louis and Frances Basach Poldergotch. She married Peter Vitko, the love of her life, on September 1, 1945, after he returned from serving in the Army Air Force during WWII. A devoted husband and father, Pete provided care for Mary during the many years since she became ill. Mary loved her dog Missy, baking kolachi for her family during the holidays, bowling with her friends and was a long time member of St. Paul the Apostle Church. Mary leaves her husband Pete and her four children Paul of Maple Grove, Minn, daughter Karen (Paul) Arbogast of Columbiana, son Andrew of Medina, OH ,son David (Denise) of Columbiana, two sisters Evelyn Seidner of North Lima and Barbara Herr of Labanon, PA. She also leaves eight grandchildren who she adored Terra Arbogast of Columbus, Lacy Vitko of Chicago, IL, Rachel Vitko of Minneapolis, Minn, Kelly Vitko of Manhattan, NY, Lauren Vitko of Medina,OH, Josh Arbogast of Columbus, OH, Nicholas (Michelle) Vitko of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and David Vitko of Columbiana. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a son Peter Jr. who died at birth,her sisters Anna Balasko, Jane Krugar, Gerry Sokol, Kathryn Shirk, Frances Walker and a brother Paul Poldergotch.

Memorials: Donations may be given to the family in Mary's name on behalf of a charity to be named later.
