Obituary

Struthers – Private services were held for Mary Lou Durick who passed away peacefully at home on October 12th surrounded by family.

Mary Lou was born on October 5, 1932 in Struthers, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Corsetti) Toto.

She graduated in January 1950 from Struthers High School where she was a majorette

with the marching band. She then worked as a secretary for Automatic Sprinkler.

On August 28, 1954, she married Joseph Durick, Jr. They recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.

Mary Lou was a member of Christ Our Savior Church. She was very proud of her Italian heritage. She loved going to casinos with her sister, Nancy. Mary Lou was a special person, never forgetting to send a card to commemorate a special occasion or light a candle to offer support during a difficult time.

Besides her loving husband, Joseph, she leaves two sons, Dr. Robert (Donna) Durick of Lowellville, Dr. Thomas Durick of Watsonville, CA, and her devoted daughter, Dr. Janet Durick of Pittsburgh. She also leaves a sister, Nancy Hokanson of Struthers and a brother, William (Patsy) Toto of Waynesburg, OH.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Shirley Bielicki, of Warminster, PA.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Grace Hospice for the kind and compassionate care they extended to Mary Lou and for the support which they gave her family.
