Petersburg – Mary Ann Phillis, 75 passed away on Tuesday afternoon, April 21, 2026 at the Hospice House.

Mary Ann was born on July 29, 1950 in Youngstown,   Ohio ,   a  daughter  of Cy and Dorothy Enney  Tatarka. She lived in the area her whole life and   graduated from Liberty High School.  She was a scale master at the Frank Sherman Company , and she owned her own dog   grooming   business.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and   watching Perry Mason reruns with her husband Virgil.

Mary Ann married Virgil L. Phillis on August 26, 1993. Besides Virgil of Petersburg,  she leaves one son, Virgil L. (Ashley)Phillis, Jr. of Petersburg and one daughter  Tabetha  (Anton) Langer of Collierville, Tenn., one brother Tom (Paula) Tatarka of New Castle, PA; also four grandchildren Isabelle and Rose Ann Phillis, Emmett  and Juliette Langer.

She was preceded in death by her parents,.
