Visitation: Friends may call at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday morning from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m.

Poland - Mary T. Jackson, 75, of Poland passed away on Thursday. Mary was born on May 1, 1935, in Youngstown, a daughter of Gaetano and Mario Silvestro Scardina. She married Robert G. Jackson on July 28, 1956. Mary worked in the food service industry for many years. She loved animals and was an advocate for animals. Mary leaves three sons, Robert D. and Scott B. Jackson, both of Poland and Mitchell J. (Carol) of Struthers; a brother, Nick (Annie) Scardina of Chicago, IL.; one sister, Sarah (Mario) Romito of Youngstown; four grandchildren, Brandy, Erica, Andrew and Christine. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, who died June 29, 1996; a son, Richard, who died June 18,1986; two brothers, John and Thomas Scardina and two sisters, Katherine Kay Stock and Josephine Joe Renteria.
