Services: Services will be held on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown.

Visitation: Friends may call two hours prior to the mass from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.

NEW MIDDLETOWN - Mary Ann Bokanovich, 93 of New Middletown passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Caprice Health Care Center. Mary Ann was born on March 5 1918, in Wheeling, W. Va., a daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Prezlo Markowicz. She moved to New Middletown in 1956 and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, a past member of the Altar Guild and helped with making piroghy at the church. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Mary Ann leaves behind three sons, Richard (Marylou) Bokanovich of Hanoverton, OH, Barry W. (Patricia) Bokanovich of Salem, OH and Steven (Georgette) Bokan of Cortland, OH; one daughter, Dolly Lautner of New Middletown; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, one brother John Markowicz and two sisters, Phyllis Thomas and Cecelia Bokanovich..
