Services: Services will be on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown.

Visitation: Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Salem - Mary Gregg Beard, 93 of the Blossom Nursing Home in Salem, formerly of New Middletown, passed away at the home on Friday morning. Mary was born on June 30, 1918 in Apollo, PA, a daughter of Delmont and Mary Beamer Gregg, coming to Youngstown in 1938 and to New Middletown in 1970. She was a graduate of the Duffs Business College in Pittsburgh, was a member of the Old Springfield United Church of Christ in New Middletown and was a homemaker. Mary married Eugene H. Beard on June 3, 1940 and he passed away on September 7, 1991. She leaves two daughters, Barbara (Phillip) Davis of Boardman and Carol (Harry) Heinz of Lisbon, OH; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, John W. and Delmont Gregg and one sister, Eva Kerr.
