LOWELLVILLE – A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville for Martha E. Perrotta, 90, who passed away on Friday evening February 13, 2015.
Martha was born on September 18, 1924 in Lowellville, OH, a daughter of Harland L. and Gladys Bogar Ripple.
She lived in the area most of her life, and during World War II worked in the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company as one of the Rosie the Riveters. She also helped her husband fun the Village Café in Lowellville for many years. She was a member of the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and enjoyed making dolls and working with crafts.
Martha married Samuel J. Perrotta on November 18, 1967 and he passed away on July 13, 1996.
She leaves one daughter Barbara (Michael) Lattanzio of Poland, OH, and one sister Grace Maynard of Struthers; six grandchildren, Michael Lattanzio, Dr. Anthony (Kiersten) Lattanzio, Joseph (Jennifer) Lattanzio, Andrew (Janeen) Lattanzio, Alicia (Kevin) Soles, Angela (Raymond) Hull and thirteen great grandchildren. Martha also leaves several nieces and nephews and one special nephew Jeffrey Balchick, and special friends and neighbors Gary and Darlene Flesher and John Sandora.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers, James, Raymond, Richard and Edwin Ripple; seven sisters Dorothy Gilbert, Rose Sylvester, Alice Mapple, Laura Lovell, Gladys Marshall, Evelyn Zona and Emma Rouzzo.
Friends may call on Tuesday at the church, one hour before the mass from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
