Salem – A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Clemente Funeral Home in New Middletown, for Marlene A. Bensky, 75, formerly of New Middletown who passed away at the Essex of Salem II on Monday morning.

Marlene was born on March 27, 1941 in New Castle, PA, a daughter of Andy and Ann Katich Felix.

She was a lifelong area resident and worked at the Hill's Department Store and Sears in Boardman. She enjoyed polka and square dancing and liked doing crafts. She played the piano, bingo and spending time with her family.

Marlene married Richard L. Bensky in 1961 and he passed away in 2009.

She leaves three daughters, Sherri (Dana) Byers of North Lima, Terri (Marty) Bartell of New Lenox, Ill, Tammi Sawyer of Oak Lawn, Ill.; a brother David (Jill) Felix of Poland, OH, a sister Geraldine (Val) Pagnotta of Hillsville, PA; two grandchildren, Jenna Sawyer and Grant Bartell, and several nieces and nephews.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one grandson Kevin Jackson.

Friends may call at the Clemente Funeral Home two hours before the service on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
