Services: A mass of Catholic burial will be held Wednesday, January 23, at St. the Apostle in New Middletown at 10:00 a.m.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00 am at St. Paul's, one hour prior to the mass.

Mark A. Malenic, 53, died Friday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. Mark was born October 26, 1959, in Youngstown, a son of Michael A. and Magdalene Mahin Malenic. He married Sheryl Fraley on February 18, 1984, and was a maintenance foreman for Boardman Molded Plastics. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown. Mark enjoyed working on his cars and sharing stories and jokes. He loved spending time with his friends and family and attending his children's sporting events. Mark leaves his wife, Sheryl, his mother, Magdalene, two sons Mark A. Malenic, Jr. and Joshua Malenic, both of New Middletown, a daughter Melissa (Bill) McGuire of New Orleans, three brothers Michael A. (Patricia) Malenic Jr. of Youngstown, Matthew A. (Christina) Malenic of Elton, IL, and Martin A. (Kimberly) Malenic of Poland and many nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his father Michael (Papa) A. Malenic.
